Complementing the Persecutors of Var battle host released on Friday, Tarus is a mighty beast of war lured from beyond the Gate of Infernus to the ranks of the second legion of Var. He's fully forty feet long and twenty-five feet tall - translating to 132mm tall on your tabletop, and 200mm+ long!

Tarus, Magnibehema of Dis

One of the mightiest of all creatures, forty feet long, five and twenty feet tall, the immense magnibehema known as Tarus is an enormous land leviathan that can crush whole armies underfoot. Even the larger enemies of the Infernii fear the power and strength of this creature; impervious to arrows, its hide thick and leathery, only the mightiest of warriors can hope to bring it low.
Who Are the Infernii?
The demons of Infernus - what we would call hell - are many and varied. Those of Dis, one of the myriad Circles of Infernus, are directly allied with the Byzantii thanks to their martial abilities and indomitable will. Even so, their father Dispater, a being of hate and cruelty, ultimately drives his sons to the realms of man for his own ends, although there is common purpose in slaughtering the enemies of Constantine.
For demons cannot exist in the material world without the souls the Byzantii offer to them, and whilst these weaklings provide for him Dispater is content: and yet power and domination are his ultimate goals, that and the overthrow of the hated peoples of Iahweh.

August's Second Monster
Stay tuned, fellow Miercenaries, for just like the battle hosts, we'll be releasing (or re-releasing) a second monster for you to enjoy. These second monsters will be ones that haven't yet been properly released in cast resin, or haven't been released at all; or they may well be completely new; but they will tie in with the second battle host's kindred.
As the Atalantes are this month's second battle host, the monster will be of the Atalantes too - Iliatheos, no less!
September's Monster
The monster for September will be of the Brythoniaid, of scales and fire and wings... can you guess what it will be? Of course you can!
