Pargus is a young and brilliant scholar from Anphitria, chosen for his keen mind and pure heart. As a scion of one of the two royal families of the City-State—a house devoted to the lost teachings of Mythos—he is sent on a sacred mission to a forgotten temple of the Lord of Knowledge, hidden within a chasm on an island south of Anphitria. His task is simple: to place an ancient blank scroll, uncovered beneath his family’s estate, upon the altar of the temple and unlock its hidden prophecy.
But was it truly his family that uncovered the scroll? Or was the scroll meant to be found?
Though Pargus possesses arcane talent, his journey is one of intellect and discovery, not war. He expected ruins and mystery—but what he finds instead is a labyrinth of horror, a Hive of fiendish aberrations. Little does he know of what he might find inside.
