Despite her comparative youth Annik of Carn Wrach is truly a master of war: invariably cunning, deceitful where needed, inspired when preparing and organising her hosts - and utterly unafraid of any enemy that chooses to meet her in battle. No mere commander she, nor even just a highly skilled warrior, Annik's importance to the armies of the Horned God lies in her ability to be both the dispassionate general and the ferocious champion, the astute leader and the brutal killer; to have cool mind and blood lust both. To say that she realises her worth would be to belittle her intelligence. Annik knows that without her, the battles against demon, reptile, dragon and man would find the drunes wanting.
