Rob, given the Eastern Empire is in ascendance in the West what are their current holdings like in Africa and the modern Middle East?
I believe the time period Darklands is set would of been the beginnings of the rise of Islam in the area which eventually led to the Byzantine empire falling, are they causing their darklands counter parts any troubles?

Re: Byzantii in the Middle East
Part of Islam's quick success in the byzantines was probably due to Byzantine being exhausted from a previous war (in our world). It's possible that with the alliance with the Infernii, they wouldn't have been so weak and would have been able to squash the islamic uprising or at least severely slow it down.

Not quite; simply put, Islam will not be a part of Darklands, not least because its rise is well after 650AD.
Cheers

I'm not going anywhere near Islam. Zoroastrianism all the way.

The prospect of Djinn is more exciting than another Abrahamic offshoot anyway lol. But this does make me wonder, what about the Hebrew? Since Christians exist then Judaism has to have at least existed. So are they still around? Do they create Kabbalistic Golems?

They are around, yes, and Golems would indeed exist...
