Man-Manglers
The warren of Grey-Fur comprises many different kinds of vras, but he leans especially on his war-vras and the giant rend-vras of the larger caverns. Brutish and vicious, these giant mole-rat-men are an incredible force upon the battlefield, slashing left and right with claw and glaive and maul.

-
Glaive Grey-Fur, Vras-Chief
-
Chop-Leg & Beat-Meat, Cook-Vras with Dinner*

- Gnaw-Claw's Den, Claw-Rend-Vras Unit (5x warriors)
-

Grey-Fur is the commander of the Man-Manglers. A powerful vras-chief of some repute, he leads his warren to battle bedecked in crude spiked armour and mail, wielding a glaive and bearing a shield on his back. Some say that shield is there to defend against those who would usurp him...
The ravenous vras are never far away from their next meal, and their cook-vras are always on the lookout for anything that even slightly resembles a good feed. Chop-Leg and Beat-Meat, being the cunning fellows they are, have found themselves a female human - a highly prized, er, prize when it comes to succulence and tastiness, a bit like Chinese meals when you've been arrested. Needless to say, that spit roast won't know what's hit it!

The hearthguard of Grey-Fur are the war-vras, the best equipped mole-rats in all Haig Vras. Sporting helms, plate armour, mail and shield, and bearing glaives, Stump-Claw's Burrow are tough little buggers that hit hard and come keen, not necessarily in that order. The unit includes champion, banner bearer and herald.

The rend-vras like Gnaw-Maw's Den are much larger than the far more numerous vras, standing well over ten feet tall. They are also much more violent, being heavily muscled, but they are also wiry and fast, able to wield those vicious-looking glaives with great skill.

The rend-vras can also be fielded without glaives - Gnaw-Claw's Den use their claws and teeth instead, able to rip and tear flesh with ease.

That being said, rend-vras will always use weapons if they can find them, and they'll use any weapons they find. Gnaw-Jaw's Den maul the enemy with a variety of weapons including daggers, clubs and hammers!
Who Are the Vras?
The greatest ally of the Ysians are the vras, the ignoble mole-rate-men of den and lair and cave. Under the feet of the unsuspecting humans above are league upon league of foul-smelling burrow and snaking tunnel, giant cavern and impossible warren, and this geographic insidiousness lends them a quality almost no other race can boast - that of surprise. While they do on occasion fight conventionally, fielding rank upon rank of spear-vras and runt-vras and war-vras, backed up by the rend-vras and the giant things of the pits, they often use the tunnels under the earth to surprise the enemy from below, bursting forth from nowhere to attack flanks and rear and baggage trains.

Of all the various bloodlines of the vras, the rat-like Three-Claw are perhaps the most useful of them all, perhaps even the most warlike. From their deep delvings underneath Par-Ys and around the north of Frankia and the south of Britain, and upon the island known forever as Haig Vras, the Three-Claw can pour from cave and sewer and mine to flank their enemies or drag them to the maw of the Buck-Vras himself.
You can learn more about the Vras on the Mierce Miniatures webstore and in the Lands of Darkness kindred guide!
