The three new Æthelglyth (A·thəl·GLITH) variants - Shieldwall Æthelglyth, Wælcyrḡe Æthelglyth (WAL·kər·yə, which you will know as Valkyrie; Wælcyrḡe is the Old English form of the word) and Hunter Æthelglyth were sculpted by Bob Płociennik from the original (beautiful!) artwork by Stefan Kopinski. Æthelglyth is a Thegn of Mierce, a warchief able to command the warriors of Mierce into battle. All three Æthelglyths stand on 30mm bases and are around 32mm to the eye, and each variant can have a helmed or unhelmed head depending on your preference. Whilst each variant comes as per the image shown, her parts are pretty much interchangeable - so if you wanted an armoured body for Wælcyrḡe Æthelglyth or a sword for Shieldwall Æthelglyth you could easily do that. You'd have to purchase the components separately, of course, or tell us when you purchase the deal which configurations you would like!

The simply incredible Wildeswīn, Cwellofor (WIL·də·swyn) is a Cwellofor (KWEL·ə·for), a killer-boar, a mighty but thankfully rare beast that is sometimes brought to war by the warriors of the Eoforas, the East Anglians who revere the boar in all his many forms and, indeed, boast of were-boars in their ranks. Sculpted by Bob Płociennik from the artwork by Roberto Cirillo and first presented as part of a Kickstarter project, Wildeswīn will stand on a 110x60mm oval Darklands base and will be around 100mm tall. He's one of the biggest - and toughest! - monsters the Anglecynn can field, and worth every penny if you can get him on the charge!

Sculpted traditionally by Stéphane Camosseto from the awesome artwork by Danny Cruz, the Freemen of Scīrbrōc, Ceorl Unit (FREE·men ov SHYR·brook, CHURL YOO·nit) represent the free men and women found in all the realms of the Anglecynn, usually craftsmen of some kind, labourers or farmers. Called upon in times of war, armed with handed-down weapons and limited armour but always a shield, they are nevertheless trained infantry and form the bulk of any Anglecynn host. They stand on 30mm bases, are around 32mm to the eye and each warrior has a spear, langseax or axe option to go with their shields. That means with a bit of creativity and perhaps some magnets you could turn them into a unit of spearmen, a unit of axemen or a unit of langseaxmen whenever you wish!

It includes Shieldwall Æthelglyth, a unit of ten Ceorl Freemen with command, a unit of five Werwulfas with command and a small unit of Wulfas to top it all off.

The new Hunter Æthelglyth means the Anglecynn Ceorl Bowman Support Starter Host is changed slightly by removing Leofwen. Everything else in the host - Hunter Hrōr, the Ceorl Bowmen and the Werwulf Hunters are exactly the same as they were, so it's still a great way to expand your Anglecynn host to include some support units to rain pointy death upon your opponents!
