happy new year with half price* monsters!

It's been a couple of months since the last lot, so we thought we'd better get another lot out there. So here's thirty new releases for both BaneLegions and Darklands, which includes new nobles, new infantry, new monstrous infantry and new monsters - and a pronunciation guide for each, too, when you go to their item page!

This month we have some gianty stuff for the Albainn - Gogg and Bogogg, brothers in bash but not in eye; some beaky stuff for the Brythoniaid (the awesome Dynwocor Unit, Gungonn's Brood); some chunky hippo-like stuff for the Byzantii, the splendiferous Onumo; some awesome men and women for the Érainn with Caitrín in two variants and the Maiobhanagh Unit, the Men of Ármhach, in four variants as well as individually; the rather chubby Coughing Walvax, an awesome unit of three Walrus-men for the Fomoraic; the superb Auga, a Drēaguth Deathbringer for the Jutes; the brilliant Egaendr, a griffon for the Norse; and finally two sell-swords, the lovely but deadly Alix of Carn Bran and the deadly but lovely Sáthach on Horse. Not only that, we have a superb Blight Beast for the BaneLegions in the weird and wonderful shape of Bee'hhckd'hkkk! Pronounce that if you dare! {split}

Again, thanks to us being busier than busy bees we've just not had the time to get the release art and descriptions done; but you can still see some good images of each miniature on the website of course.

Bee'hhckd'hkkk, Blight Beast

Converted from the Darklands miniature Mórannach (and a few bits of Uuthüll) by our very own Tim Fisher (no less), Bee'hhckd'hkkk is a Blight Beast of horrible foulness and nastiness, ideal for your army that fields plaguey things. Pronounce him like this - beek-dik. For obvious reasons.

Gogg, Moroghurüc

Gogg, a Moroghurüc, is a massive giant-beast for the Albainn converted from Mjagnir by Tim Prow, using the drawing by Dan Warren of course. He's gone one eye, which doesn't help him in judging distances, but he has got a massive mattock, which helps him when he's bashing things in the face.

Bogogg, Moroghurüc

Another conversion of Mjagnir by Tim Prow from the artwork by Dan Warren, Bogogg is a more gianty-headed version, complete with ponytail and that. Excellent for those who want their giants to judge distances as well as bash things in the face.

Gungonn's Brood, Dynwocor Unit

Excellent news, Brythoniaid fans, for the Dynwocor have gained themselves a release. Sculpted superbly (and digitally) by a newcomer to our range, Bartłomiej Płociennik, from the artwork by Christophe Madura, the Dynwocor are wocor-men from the mountains of Powys, strange, irrational beings who cluck and shriek and hit things with their stone-made weapons. The individual miniatures in the unit are Gungonn ap Gonn, the champion, Achod ap Mab, the banner bearer, Roch ap Roch, the herald, and three warriors - Igag ap Ig, Dudd ap Rudd and Cob ap Mab, the alternate of the banner bearer (although you only get the bits for that, not a full miniature).

Onumo, Hippoxus Warrior

Allan Carrasco's work just gets better and better, and here's Onumo to prove it. Sculpted from the artwork by Roberto Cirillo, he's a Hippoxus Warrior - a hippo-man from the jungles of Afrika, brought into the Legions by the Auxilia Bestiarii to channel their strength and aggression into defeating their enemies. Onumo sports a fantastic church bell, ripped from the bell tower of a church the Legio II Var have overrun and pressed into service as a mighty (and noisy) club!

Caitrín, Taoiseach of the Uí Néill

The awesome Yannick Hennebo has worked wonders for us once more with the lovely Caitrín, warchief of the Érainn, drawn from the artwork by Sam Lamont. She's a real handful, is Caitrín, both on the field and off it. Don't spill her pint!

Slinger Caitrín, Taoiseach of the Uí Néill

Again sculpted (well, converted from his original) by Yannick Hennebo from the artwork by Sam Lamont, Slinger Caitrín adds a sling to her weaponry and she feels all the better for it, we can tell you.

Men of Ármhach, Maiobhanagh Unit

The Men of Ármhach are Maiobhanaghta (pronounced MOY-a-na-ta), slingers with short swords and bucklers, sculpted superbly by Valentin Zak from the artwork by Sam Lamont. You can purchase them in four units - five warriors with command, ten warriors with command, five warriors and ten warriors - and five individual miniatures, Eóghan the champion and the warriors Áine, Sínead, Conall and Nóra.

Coughing Walvax, Walvax Unit

Now these guys really are something. Walrus-men of the Fomoraic, these three Walvax have been sculpted by Yannick Fusier from the artwork by Roberto Cirillo - and wow are they awesome! You can purchase the three individual warriors, too - led by the champion Conaanh, who brings Aanhor and Dawaanh to the party, although they never bring their own beer, which is annoying.

Auga, Drēaguth Deathbringer

Edgar Skomorowski has again worked wonders, for Auga the Drēaguth Deathbringer - sculpted from the artwork by Danny Cruz - is simply a superb miniature. A sorcerer of old full of hate and spite, Auga is another amazing addition to the Jutes.

Egaendr, Gríthír

The Norse are all about the flying, so it was only fitting that they got a griffon. Converted by Tim Prow from the artwork by Dan Warren - and the original Mantichora by Stéphane Nguyen van Gioi, of course - Egaendr is a cracking option for the northmen.

Sáthach, Ríonfénnid on Horse

It's been a long time since Sáthach was released, so it's about time we got the mounted version of her out there. Yannick Hennebo has, of course, worked awesomeness with his magic fingers, from the artwork by Dan Warren. Remember, too, that Sáthach is a sell-sword that will work with any kindred, and she can train your infantry up very nicely indeed!

Alix of Carn Bran, Beast-Master on Foot

From start to finish, Alix has been a joy to bring to you all. Danny Cruz' artwork is simply superb and Yannick Hennebo's miniature is equally amazing; she's an all-round fantastic miniature - and she's also a work of wonder in Darklands, for (being a sell-sword) she can work with any kindred and (being a beast master) she can bring any monster she likes with her. That means you can field any monster from any kindred in your host with Alix!

All of the releases above will be officially released on the 7th of October 2017, but you can order them right now!

Watch out for the November releases, which should be unveiled soon!
