I've recently actually finished some very old Mierce minis, but I still have some old ones that I am struggling to complete...
Parawn is a great example of a mini that I can't get right.
For a start, I didn't want to do another green or red dragon...
I have this already:
...and have started this:
And I have So. Many. green minis already...
So, what colour...
Purple?
Tried that, miserable failure
Resprayed him green, wiht a new idea
I traditionally take green to the yellow end of the spectrum...
This time, why not go the other way?
So this is my attempt at a cyan dragon!
And...it isn't grabbing me...

Metallic colours on Dragons just don't work...not unless it's really yellow, not gold.

I think i still might try painting Parawn as a gold/yellow dragon, he's smaller, more animated than Angrislaug... I just assume it will be wrong to begin with, will take years and thousands of live to complete.

Just remember that gold should be only used as a highlight over a base yellow-orange colour.
I've been painting for 35 years, and I've never seen a successful gold (true gold) dragon...eva!
