Atalantes attitudes towards their automata
Atalantes attitudes towards their automata
As I understand it, the Atalantes are very few in number; however, how do they view the value of their automata in comparison to a human life? Are the automata precious technology to be protected at any (reasonable) cost, or is it simply better to send an automaton to the front lines because, if they get damaged, the Atalantes have the technology to rebuild them?

A bit of both really; automata are precious, very precious indeed, but they will risk them if they have to. The Tekhnomántises can repair them, but only for so long and only for so often.
As far as comparing them goes, they are used to save human lives, which is where the "risk them if they have to" comes in; but if the choice is between one human life and one automata, it's often the automata that are saved, because they in turn can save more human lives in the future.
They'll use the Khthones as cannon fodder though ;o)
Cheers
