Using the Tawrdraig

Postby HughB » Fri Jun 09, 2017 3:03 pm

A polite inquiry to those of you who play brythoniad regularly. I'm starting to put my brythoniad together in an attempt to branch out from my fomoraic (to have something to paint thats not fur basically) kindred and I noticed that the tawrdraig is quite an impressive monster but it does appear to be the only feral unit in the kindred muster. I wondered whether you find this to be a problem with using the tawrdraig or not as when I'm putting a fomoraic list together I tend to find that if I have just one frenzied unit rather than a few then it tends to dash out from any of the units that might support it and then get killed pretty quickly. Whats your experience?

Thanks

Simply put, frenzied units can be a liability but, more often than not, they can be a brutal addition to your host.

All I would say is, expect to lose them - so get them down the enemy's throat! - and put them slightly flanking the centre of your battleline; that way they can pick and choose which units they run towards.

Cheers
Rob
