Carrying Cases - Darklands - Battlefoam?
Carrying Cases - Darklands - Battlefoam?
Does anyone have any recommendations for transporting several Darklands minis? Has there been any consideration given to starting a Mierce Miniatures/Darklands-specific bags?
Re: Carrying Cases - Darklands - Battlefoam?
This caused some discussion when it was posed before, with everyone having thier favoured type of case.
Personally I'm planning on getting a KR case with infantry trays and Pick and Pluck sections for larger models, although I might have a look at thier upright Imperial guard Sentinel trays as well for monsterous infantry.

My vote goes for battlefoam as I have 2 already, 1 for Malifaux and 1 for P3 paints, and they are a brilliant system. KR look good for the price I just prefer the look and overall quality and protection of battlefoam. And their promotional videos are hilarious
As I always say. At the end of the day.................it goes dark

KR for me personally. Cheap and durable. But it's all down to personal preference really
Re: Carrying Cases - Darklands - Battlefoam?
I've found that 'really useful boxes' from staples are the best for these minis, as you really don't want them breaking against foam trays. I have layered the bottom with ironised self adhesive rubber, & and then glued magnets underneath the bases.

Interesting idea Manny, I use them for my unit based armys. hadn't thought about them for Darklands

My current plan is to have a whole bunch of custom battlefoam trays made, both for Darklands and Kingdom Death : Monster.
It'll cost a small fortune no doubt, but BFs stuff rather nice quality from what I've seen.

Probably going to use KR cases for mine, space is an issue in my house and 2 KR cases fit nicely into a 'IKEA Kallax Cube'

I use different sized 'really useful boxes' with magnetic sheeting on the base of it and magnets attatched to the models bases. Has served me well transporting to club and tournaments

I started with foam, got a lod of good cases with pluck foam, but with the varying sizes and jutting out parts my fiends and some Byzantii bits all broke in transit.

Really Useful Box and magnets for me.
Models these days are just getting too big for foam to be a decent solution.
