I was just about to say 'don't take my word for it' when I saw Rob had already replied!

Rob - where can I find the stats for the rogue drunes? Without that I can't really sub anything.

Re: Help Choosing Next Order

I love the Chimaera and Manticore sculpts as well and plan on picking them up at some point (and am also put off the current Melusine sculpts, despite how devastating the unit can be). As far as shadow drunes go, I'm more interested in the rogue drunes, which can't be far off now (although I'd like ...

Thanks, James. I was wondering about Fir Bolgh for those weapons, and for the arms, too.

Anyone recognise these?

I bought some Albainn miscasts earlier this year and I've finally gone through, separated everything out, identified it and bagged it. In doing so, I've found a few bits that aren't Albainn (I've already passed some Erainn on). These last bits have me stumped. Can someone tell me what they are? http...

I seem to remember there was quite a nice version of the Ker-Ys legend in one of the Bernard Cornwell Arthur books (though it's probably a quarter of a century since I read them, now).

Re: Thinking about jumping in... a guiding hand needed

I do some (unpaid) work for Dragon Dawn Productions, so I'm on their stand. We'll have Perdition's Mouth: Abyssal Rift and Darwinning! for sale, as well as running demos of Dwarf, a game I designed that they're putting on Kickstarter in March. As for the others, Newark and London are roughly equidis...

Hi Brightblade, We went up to Bedworth for a game 2 or 3 weeks ago and had a good time. Unfortunately I haven't seen the other fella since and talk on the way home quickly turned to other subjects but I think he's planning on getting into it, too. When I do see him next I'm going to ask if he fancie...

Re: The Ysians - a compendium

Thanks for this, Geoff. Although I'm slightly worried by Rob's view of the Cornish. A stag night in Newquay gone horribly wrong? It's all to do with the word Kernow... it all flows from there... Kern is an old Cornish / Breton word for horn, you see... hence Kernunnos the Horned God, Ker-Ys, etc. e...

Hi both,

Sorry, December was really hectic for me. I went along to my local game night yesterday and checked with the other fella that he's still interested. He is. I've just emailed him to see whether he'd prefer the Sunday or Tuesday night - I might still be up for both.

I don't know if anyone on these forums is a BGG user but, if you are, you might like to know that I've created a range of three Darklands and one Mierce Miniatures microbadges to show off.

Looks Good, and well priced.. Not sure though if the style is before the setting of the game, thus more like early Britain before the Romans came, Darklands I believe is set after the Romans have left Britain. Rob' s got all the More so he can advise.. Well, I'm not going to pull my academic creden...

Ironically, I think I used the word 'crunchy' the night before, when talking about the game with the other guys. Re: Thinking about jumping in... a guiding hand needed

Thanks Jonathan, the Albainn are one of the kindred I'm eyeing up (well, you know, I'm Cornish and they have giants) but I'd honestly be happy to try anything at the moment. I emailed three guys at my club, about Darklands, yesterday and saw two of them last night. They seemed vaguely intrigued but ...

Thanks Jonathan, Bedworth's looking better - apparently 50 minutes to an hour.

My local club meets on Tuesday nights so I'm going to try and see, tomorrow, if I can get one or two of the others interested. My suspicion is that they'll just try and persuade me to play Frostgrave, though!

Hi Scott, thanks for replying and for the offer. Google has Rugeley as about an hour and a half from me, so it would be a bit far for a regular meeting but might work as a one off, to try the game, if no-one else volunteers.

Hope you enjoy your game, tonight.

Thinking about jumping in... a guiding hand needed

Hi all, I spent some time in the early to mid nineties playing Warhammer... more time painting than playing, if I'm honest. That was the last time I played a miniatures game. I thought about trying to get back into Warhammer just as The End Times kicked off but I held back to see what happened (than...
